Born in Yogyakarta, October 9th 1928.
Also known as a coreographer. He admitted that he had studied a lot from other artists such as : Sudiardja, Hendra Gunawan, Affandi, and Kusnadi, after he has completed his study in ASRI, Yogyakarta.

Actively exhibit since 1950, single or collective, inside or outside the country like the Soviet Union, Korea, Vietnam, USA, Asean countries, Latin America, Scandinavia, Taiwna, Japan, Hongkong, Netherland, Switzerland, France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Spain, and Turkey.
